The Story Behind the Flatweave Hand Woven Wool Rug

Stripes are the simplest pattern in flat weaving: change the colour of the weft and a new band begins. This one runs groups of fine orange, black and red stripes across a sand ground, spaced like the lines of a musical score, with a short fringe at each end. It lies thin and either side can face up.
