Gabbeh instantly captures attention with its one-of-a-kind design, created by skilled Ghashghai nomads from Farsi province in Iran. With one of the most recognizable hand-crafted carpets in the country, Gabbeh is woven from handspun wool, dyed with natural, plant dyes, and stands up to 2.5 cm high. A symbol of the Persian language farsi, Gabbeh is considered raw, natural, and uncut.

The patterns of the carpet are of a simple type with only a few elements of decorative, mostly rectangular objects containing animals. During the last decades, the weavers have had to meet the demands of the west and have therefore, resorted to using large light fields with chary pattering in the Gabbeh carpets.
