The Story Behind the Irani Antique Hand Woven Kilim Rug

Persian kilims were woven by the tribes and villages of Iran, Qashqai, Bakhtiari and Kurdish weavers among them, as everyday floor covers and wrappings. Flat and tightly woven, they were made to be used, folded and carried. This antique piece sets rows of small sand-coloured diamonds and dashed lines across a brown ground, with the soft wear of age.
