Review

It’s my first purchase from Imam Carpets and I’m happy that I found a very reputable and genuine place to shop online without a fear of being cheated in terms of quality.

The Story Behind the Baluchi Overdyed Tribal Hand Knotted Rug

Baluch rugs come from tribes whose lands cross the borders of Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan, woven by women on low looms that could be packed up and carried. This one has been washed down until its pile is almost gone, then overdyed by Imam Carpet Co., so its grid of stars and crosses now shows in soft rose and slate, worn back to the knots. It reads like a faded fresco, with the pattern still clear underneath.
