Review

It’s my first purchase from Imam Carpets and I’m happy that I found a very reputable and genuine place to shop online without a fear of being cheated in terms of quality.

The Story Behind the Vintage Turkish Prayer Hand Knotted Silk Rug

A prayer rug is woven around one shape: the mihrab, an arched niche that points toward Mecca when the rug is laid down. This small vintage piece fills its niche with rows of small plants on a pale green ground, under an arch of salmon and blue, inside narrow borders of flowers. Knotted in pure silk, it catches the light and shifts in colour as you move around it.
