The Story Behind Sabli

The subtle variations in the wool's natural color create a beautiful textural quality, reminiscent of windblown desert sands. The linear pattern adds a touch of timeless intrigue, while the soft, plush pile invites barefoot comfort.

How it was made

Construction: Hand Knotted
Every knot tied by hand on a loom, then cut to make the pile.
Knot: Ghiordes knot
The symmetrical knot, also called the Turkish knot. The yarn wraps two warp threads, which gives a firm pile.
Density: 50–80 knots per square inch
Knots in every square inch. The higher the count, the finer the detail and the longer the rug takes to knot.
Pile: Low pile
