Review

It’s my first purchase from Imam Carpets and I’m happy that I found a very reputable and genuine place to shop online without a fear of being cheated in terms of quality.

The Story Behind the Damro Hand Woven Wool Rug

Loop pile is wool left uncut: each strand is pulled up into a small loop and left that way, so the rug has a nubbly, knitted feel instead of a cut velvet surface. This piece keeps to undyed wool in the sheep's own oatmeal colour, with the loops running in faint ridges across the rug. Light catches the tops of the loops and leaves the hollows in shadow, so the texture changes with the time of day.
